Experience-levels for training courses
We categorize all training courses based on prerequisite experience of the attendee.
Desginated levels of experience may be viewed on all course description pages, under the heading "Level."
Beginner
Introductory material. Less than 5 years EH&S experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry. No certifications or advanced degrees.
Beginner level courses:
- Dermal Exposure and Absorption of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients
- Isoflurane Safety
- Methylene Chloride Training
Intermediate
3 to 8 years EH&S experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry. Familiar with common life science terminology and the overall drug development process. May have certifications.
Intermediate level courses:

- Advanced Potent Compounds Module 2: Toxicology 101
- Advanced Potent Compounds Module 3: Industrial Hygiene

- Laboratory Safety
Advanced
8 years or more EH&S experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry. May have certifications or possess advanced degrees. Thorough understanding of biological processes, basic toxicology terminology, and the overall drug development process.
